Ravi was thrilled to join the team, and shares Iora Primary Care’s commitment to building a better primary care system that puts patients first. Ravi received his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Primary Care at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. When he’s not working, Ravi likes to spend his time cooking big meals for friends and family and hiking in the beautiful backcountry of New England. Ravi is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Heather believes that caring for your emotions and mind are just as important to your health as diet and exercise. Heather enjoys assisting people as they navigate through challenges and obstacles in order to become a stronger person. As a licensed social worker and yoga instructor, Heather believes that our mind, body and spirit are interconnected and should be addressed by focusing on our innate strengths in order to obtain our goals. She has over 5 years of experience in counseling and recovery and earned her Masters in Social Work from Boston University.
Aaron joined Iora Health as a Registered Nurse in November of 2015. He is a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Boston 2011 and brings years of Emergency Medicine Experience to our practice. Prior to Iora Health, Aaron worked at Massachusetts General Hospital where he developed a desire to provide better care on a more compassionate and personal level. He believes each patient is unique and requires an individualized and proactive primary care plan to promote the very best outcome. In his free time, he maintains a positive and active lifestyle and most importantly maintains a close relationship with his family and friends. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, skiing, traveling and maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle.
Sam is passionate about health coaching with a special interest in nutrition and fitness. He has many years experience in healthcare as a Medical Assistant, Outreach Specialist and Phlebotomist. Sam studied Healthcare Management at Ashworth College and is certified through the American Council of Exercise. “As a first generation Haitian American, I believe in a system that fully understands, appreciates and embraces diversity and culture sensitivity.” Sam also enjoys teaching and helping others to achieve a healthier life. As a weight loss champion himself, Sam has lost over 115 lbs and believes that helping others help him to maintain his lifestyle. Sam is bilingual in English and Haitian Creole.
After the youngest of her four children went off to school, Mary decided to follow their lead and attend Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions for nursing. As a student, she was selected to be an Albert Schweitzer Fellow. Mary also volunteered at a family shelter in Gloucester and partnered with local agencies to improve community health and safety. After graduation, Mary worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Lahey Clinic in Ipswich, MA. As a long time advocate of health care reform, she was thrilled to join Iora Health in 2015. Outside of work, Mary enjoys running, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Brendalys was excited to join Iora Primary Care because she believes everybody deserves the best healthcare and a personalized experience. Before joining Iora, Brendalys spent over ten years providing case management and homeless services at the Long Island Shelter and Boston Health Care for the Homeless. She loves helping people and as a Health Coach, she is excited to help patients make plans to reach their wellness goals. In her spare time, Brendalys enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and playing with her two dogs. Brendalys is bilingual in English and Spanish.
